Kolkata Knight Riders is the two time Indian Premier League title holder. As per the experts, Kolkata Knight Riders were the most underrated team, but with their superb performance they falsified everyone. Gautam Gambhir was leading the team from last seven years and Dinesh Karthik was appointed as a captian who took the charge of the team from last year. Under the leadership of Dinesh Karthik KKR performed impressively in the last season but failed to qualify to the finals and had to settle for the third position.

Sunil Narine the magical performer for KKR with both bat and ball has been contributing exceptionally well. Along with Sunil Narine, the Big Man Andre Russell is the hope of KKR. The team has bought another Caribbean player Carlos Brathwaite who is known for hitting 4 sixes consequtively in ICC World Cup 2016 final. We cannot forget the hard-hitting batsman Chris Lynn who is the most anticipated batsman for KKR. Kolkata Knight Riders have some experienced campaigners like skipper Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, and Piyush Chawla blended with talented young people apparently like Shubman Gill, Kuldeep Yadav, Nitish Rana, and others.

In 12th edition of Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders have their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 24th March in Eden Gardens. Overall, this time they have a perfect mix of players and have a good chance to win the trophy.
