Mumbai Indians have won Indian Premier League title for three times i.e. on 2013, 2015 and 2017. So, it is quite clear that Mumbai Indians are one of the most successive teams in Indian Premier League. Though in the initial two seasons, they failed to perform well, their performances improved drastically from the third. Mumbai Indians is the only team in Indian Premier League to win the title three times. This year, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah were retained by the team.

Mumbai Indians are well equipped with all-rounders like Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard and Ben Cutting, Though the Mumbai Indians couldn't retain their most experienced player Harbhajan Singh, the team looks to be well balanced with bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Pat Cummins and Mustafizur Rahman. Jason Behrendorff was supposed to play for Mumbai Indians this year but he has been ruled out of IPL due to an injury.

Mumbai have picked Evin Lewis, who has been a sensation in the recent past with his stroke play and is the third batsman to successfully score two Twenty20 International centuries. The Pandya brothers will be in action once again playing together for Mumbai Indians. Both are much more talented with bat and ball, their all-round performance has supported the team in the previous seasons.

In 11th Edition of Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians will play their first match against Chennai Super Kings in Wankhede Stadium on 07th April.
