Sunrisers Hyderabad entered into Indian Premier League after replacing Deccan Chargers in the 6th edition of IPL i.e; on 2013. In its Initial year itself Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to grab a position in IPL Play-offs by proving themselves as a promising team. In 9th season of Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore in finals and won the IPL title.

Retaining only two players this time, i.e., David Warner and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Manish Pandey and Rashid Khan in a very expensive deal of 11 crores and 9 crores respectively. David Warner has been banned by BCCI and will not be allowed to participate in this year's IPL. Kane Williamson will lead the Sunrisers Hyderabad this year replacing David Warner. Alex Hales was named as a replacement for Warner,

With the batsmen like Kane Williamson, Shikhar Dhawan and Manish Pandey, all-rounders in the form of Shakib Al Hasan, Carlos Brathwaite, Deepak Hooda and with the likes of Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sandeep Sharma in the bowling, Sunrisers Hyderabad looks a very strong and balanced team.

Looking at the statistics of Sunrisers Hyderabad since their entry into Indian Premier League in 2013, they have managed to reach play-offs twice i.e; on 2013 and 2017 and won the title once in 2016. It is safe to say that this team will give tough competition to other teams in this season too.

In 11th edition of Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad is going to play its first match against Rajasthan Royals in Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad on 09th April. How far can the Sunrisers Hyderabad go this season under the leadership of Kane Williamson?
